About Tony Matharu, Founder and Chairman of Integrity International Group
Tony, founder and Managing Director of Grange Hotels and founder and Chairman of Blue Orchid Hotels, is a former “Hotelier of the Year” having graduated in Law and Economics.
Tony combines his passion for hospitality with philanthropy, sport and community engagement; Vice President of Oracle Cancer Trust, Chairman of Integrity International Trust; and a Director of the London Business Improvement District – renamed “Bee London”. Tony is a recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Letters and is a Fellow of ESCP Europe Business School.
A former winner of “Best Small Hotel Company” (Business Travel Awards), Tony has recently founded London’s latest independent hotel chain: Blue Orchid Hotels under Integrity International Group. Tony has received a “Special Recognition Award” for his “Contribution to London’s Success” and a “Technology and Innovation Award” (2014). He is founder and Chairman of an international hospitality consultancy – Global Hospitality Services, is a Board Member of the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is Chairman of the Asian Business Association.
Tony is committed to caring for, respecting and engaging with the local community: having supported The Thorney Island Society and Vincent Square Residents Association for a number of years. Tony is particularly dedicated to enriching the lives of the youth of Westminster and has committed to supporting the work of St Andrew’s Club, the world’s oldest youth club, which has been making a priceless contribution to the local community for over 150 years. Tony founded Integrity International Trust to build better futures for the most vulnerable people in society.
A supporter of the Arts, Sport & Culture, Tony is a Patron of a London film festival, has supported The Darbar Music Festival and Artichoke, is the Junior Chairman of Spencer Hockey Club, Vice President of Epsom Sports Club and Hon Secretary of Romany Cricket Club, and is actively involved as a player and board member of various sporting clubs & cultural organisations.
